Why this site exists

Espresso gear is expensive, confusing and full of near-identical models. Marketing numbers (“15 bar!”) rarely mean what they imply, and search results are crowded with thin pages that exist to collect a click. We focus on the decisions that actually matter: which machine suits your budget and skill, whether you need a separate grinder, and what you'll quickly outgrow.

How we make our picks

Our reviews are research-led: we combine hands-on use where we own the gear (always labelled), a wide read of long-term owner reviews, trusted expert coverage, and verified specifications normalised across brands.
